『横尾忠則 摺れ摺れ草』横尾氏が東洲斎写楽の役者絵から着想を得、本古来の伝統木版画浮世絵の技法を駆使し制作された木版画作品<摺れ摺れ草シリーズ>。摺れ摺れ草 すれすれくさは、摺(刷)りのズレと吉田兼好の「徒然草」をかけた造語です。横尾氏は、2014 年 12 月 に東京文化会館で上演された花柳壽輔の舞台にて美術を担当し、写楽の役者絵をもとに制作したスライドを上映しました。本来、版画の制作工程において「ズレ」はあってはならないものですが、横尾氏はその「ズレ」をあえて大胆に強調し、色彩においても不調和を生み出すことで画面を構成しています。
一つのスタイルにとらわれることなく制作を続けてきた横尾忠則氏の広い視野が垣間見られるシリーズです。
“Tadanori Yokoo - Sure Sure Kusa''Inspired by the actor paintings of Toshusai Sharaku, Yokoo created the
Suresurekusa Series of woodblock prints using the techniques of traditional ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
Suresurekusa is a coined word that combines the misalignment of the print and Yoshida Kenko's Tsurezuregusa.
Yokoo was in charge of the art direction for a play by Hanayagi Jusuke that was performed at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in December 2014,and screened slides that he had created based on Sharaku's actor paintings.
Normally,there should be no misalignment during the printmaking process, but Yokoo boldly emphasizes this misalignment,
and creates discord in color as well, composing his paintings. This series offers a glimpse into the broad
perspective of Yokoo Tadanori, who has continued to create works without being bound to one style.
今回は『摺れ摺れ草』のアートをジャカード編みで表現した 2 型を展開。
KANGOL を代表する型である「CASUAL」ハットと「504」ハンチングに落とし込みました。
それぞれに横尾氏のサイン刺繍が入る特別仕様。
Two styles are available, featuring the art of "Sure Sure Kusa" in jacquard knitting.
They are incorporated into KANGOL's signature "CASUAL" hat and "504" hunting cap.
Each is a special edition with Yokoo's signature embroidered on it.
